1) Definition

Arcade Game. Game that is played in a physical arcade. Usually produced in upright cabinets (wooden, steel, aluminium or plastic) with control panels below a viewscreen. Initially electromechanical, these were later produced as video games. (Wolf, Enc. Video Games, vol.1, p.28-34).
